Tile Making Workshop
Once the room goes quiet I know the magic of making has come over the participants; waves of concentration shimmer in the air as the heads bend over the tiles, the quest for the right stamp or tool for the idea begins, rolling clay and brushing on coloured slips with curious delight, only then does the chat and sharing restart.
Over time I have developed this 2.5 - 3 hour tile making workshop into creative opportunity to enjoy a have-a-go experience with clay in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.

Mould Making Skills
Mould making is a foundational technique in the ceramics process, allowing artists to reproduce intricate forms and details with precision. This practice involves creating a negative impression of a desired shape, often using materials like plaster or silicone. Once the mould is crafted, it serves as a vessel for casting clay, enabling the artist to replicate their designs consistently. Mould making not only enhances creative possibilities but also promotes efficiency in production, making it an essential skill for ceramic artists. Through thoughtful exploration and experimentation with moulds, artists can push the boundaries of their work, ultimately enriching the dialogue between craftsmanship and artistic expression.
