Marbled black and white clay in the main body and foot. Coloured clay details, black clay sculpted rim.
This piece is unglazed stoneware, not suitable for food use. It is diamond polished inside and out so it is smooth to touch. The exterior has been lightly bees waxed for ease of cleaning.
Mizen Head is inspired by and the layered mudstones and slates of Irelands most South Westerly point. Using a marbling technique to emulate this seam and strata of the area this black and white sculptural vessel is a popular favourite that looks great in any location.
Created in three sizes, small, medium and large each vessels is a bespoke creation unique to each making session.
